Hello...

My name's Deb, how lovely to meet you! I'm so glad you stopped by...

In November 2008 I made my first sock monkey (yep, that's him alright)....and as they say...the rest is history...

In February 2009, Sock It To Me! was born and my life used to consist of Teza by day (Good afternoon, you're speaking to Chaos Control & Crayon Girl, how may i help?) and monkey business by night.

It was very exciting but I left my home and reality for a crazy journey of enlightenment around Asia. So, here I am soaking up the sights and sounds of sunny Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and working for CLEO, the coolest mag ever. Thanks again for stopping by, sit back, relax and Happy Reading!

Woah....twas awesome!

Kraftbomb was the BOMB people..I had so much fun! I sold 5 monkeys in the span of 3 hours so i was super stoked! Ask anyone there...i was a ball of energy waiting to explode with excitement! Haha...

I want to say a special thanks to my lovely sister for transporting me and my precious commodities to the Grey Lynn Community Centre that morning and being perfectly calm, cool and collected as i was freakin' out about the weather (it was rainy and wet but the sun came out later on!)...my lovely flatties Sean & Andrew and our pet mushroom Dean for coming round and hanging out at my stall making it seem like it was definately the hippest place to be teeheehee...you guys are my lucky charms! Special hugs for my buddy Gareth for calming my nerves the night before and unceasing support since my very first monkey. And of course big cuddles for all you awesome people that dropped by, thank you lovelies!

Anyway, instead of rambling on i mine as well just show you photos!!

Pre-Kraftbomb...getting psyched at home that morning! I absolutely love that dress...my mum made it for me! And yes, i am wearing wings... 'cos they're festive...hehehe

My stall...I was a tad worried the night before that the table would be too big for the number of monkeys but it worked out perfectly!

Cheeky monkey...takes one to know one right?!

Kraftbombers! So many talented people there that day it was insane!

The aftermath...stealing money from the til to go shopping...hehehe I left it a little too late though so everyone was already packing down...but i got contact details from the sellers that i loved so i'll get some custom stuff done!

The perfect reaction to getting caught!!

Mmmmm...i had the best day ever...here's to more!

xoxo
